We believe it is wrong for any individual or group to treat another individual or group as if they are inferior because of their ethnic origin or skin color.
We believe that there have been patterns of racism throughout the history of this country that has resulted in horrible acts of violence, injustice, and oppression.
We believe we still have work to do as Christians and humans to heal and respond to the needs of those who continue to be hurt or impacted by decades of racist attitudes and actions.
We believe we should strive to confront and challenge racist actions or attitudes whenever and wherever they exist.
We believe Jesus’ message compels us to “love our neighbor” regardless of our differences.
We believe we should have a posture of learning and empathy toward any individuals or groups who feel threatened by racist attitudes or actions.
We believe we should disciple this generation to treat everyone like they are made in the image of God.
